Didier Drogba is set to join Chelsea’s
coaching staff after retiring from football,
according to reports.
The Blues legend has been at Montreal
Impact since the end of July where he
scored 12 goals in 14 appearances for the
MLS outfit.
L’Equipe say Drogba, 37, told Montreal
Impact’s president Joey Saputo that he’s
set to return to Stamford Bridge for a
role under interim manager Guus Hiddink.
It’s understood the former Ivory Coast
international will be back at Chelsea in
time for the side’s Champions League tie
versus Paris Saint-Germain on February
16.
Drogba played 381 times for Chelsea
and found the net on 164 occasions, making him the Blues’ fourth highest goalscorer of all time.
