Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta
Affairs, Kingsley Kuku, on Sunday, said the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) would defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 21 states out
of the 36 states in the country.
Kuku, who was speaking at a PDP stakeholders’ meeting held in
Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, said the APC has no
chance of winning the forthcoming election either in Ondo and parts of
the country.
Kuku, who also doubles as chairman of Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), said APC has never won election in the state.
He said the state’s electoral battle had always been between Labour
Party (LP) and PDP, stressing that now the two had merged in the state,
the APC would be defeated in any election in the state.
His words: “have they won before? In Ondo State, election has never been between APC and anybody.
“It has always been between Labour Party and PDP; the people who are
at contentions in the past are now together. Governor Olusegun Mimiko
and Chief Olusola Oke, working together, will beat APC silly in Ondo
State.
“I can assure you that out of the 36 states in the country, the minimum PDP will win across board will be 21 states.”
