Nicki Minaj and others pleaded on Meek’s behalf and promised to keep him in line Thursday to no avail.
According to USA Today, “Mill offered emotional testimony…about his rudderless childhood in gritty North Philadelphia.”
The judge ruled that Meek Mill violated his probation and now the Philly rapper is looking at more jail time.
Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley had already let Meek off without jail time in a 2009 drug and gun case, and was not amenable to hearing it this time. had heard it all before.
“How many times am I supposed to give him a second chance?” she said. The judge also suggested that probation may no longer be the solution any more, alluding to jail time.
Meek cannot perform or work before his February 5 sentencing, not even in his native Philadelphia.
