    • PEP GUARDIOLA HAS SOME SERIOUSLY HIGH PRAISE FOR JURGEN KLOPP'S MANAGERIAL TECHNIQUES

    • Pep Guardiola has described Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund side in glowing terms in a biography on Guardiola’s first year at Bayern Munich, report the Liverpool Echo.
According to Guardiola, Klopp’s black and yellow attack were at times “unstoppable”, and “unique”, despite Dortmund enjoying little success after Guardiola’s arrival in Bavaria.
In ‘Pep Confidential’, written by Marti Perarnau and released in 2014, the former Barcelona manager says:
They’re like a steamroller, unstoppable. There are other teams who counter-attack brilliantly, like Madrid for example, but Dortmund are unique.
I’ve never seen anything like it.
They are completely focused for 90 minutes, waiting for you to mess up a pass so that they can set their sprinters on you.
I must take some time to really study this and see if there’s any way to stop them.
Guardiola won two titles in a row when up against Klopp’s Dortmund, and even secured a 3-0 away win in November 2013. But despite their on-field rivalry, the pair seemed to get on well and share a mutual admiration for each other, with reports surfacing over the last few months that Klopp could even replace Pep in the managerial hot-seat at Bayern Munich.
But it now looks almost certain the Klopp will head to Anfield to take on the daunting task of restoring Liverpool to their former glories, following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers on Sunday, and is expected to be in the away dugout when the Reds travel to Tottenham on October 17.
