The Academic Board of Yaba College of Technology,
Yaba, Lagos, has expelled 73 students of the college for
presenting suspected forged results.
In a statement released by the college today, the affected
students were those pursuing part-time programmes for
National Diploma and Higher National Diploma.
Signed by the Deputy Registrar of the college, Mrs Titilayo
Obadimu, the statement said the affected students registered for
2013/2014 academic session.
According to the statement, the results are discovered during
the verification exercise of Senior Secondary School
Certificates and National Diploma results.
It was also stated that 46 students for National Diploma and
27 students for Higher National Diploma were affected.
“All affected students are advised to hand the property of the
college in their possession, including student identity cards, to
their various heads of department, the librarian and the dean
of students’ affairs with immediate effect,’’ it said.
Mr Charles Oni, Head, Public Relations Unit of the college,
told NAN that the college had zero tolerance for all forms of
malpractices and social vices.
He said that all documents presented for admission into the
college were always subjected to rigorous screening.
He, therefore, urged prospective students to steer clear of
malpractices, including results’ forgery.

According to the news, the affected students are part timers.
What causes this issue most of the time are these; Maybe a
wrong exam number was filled when doing the part time
registration or the results were completely fake.
To avoid this issue in the future, make sure you check the
print out giving to you after you did your registration. Make
sure there are no errors, if there is, quickly change it at the
school C.I.T.M immediately.
